Master of Engineering (M.Eng)

Admission Requirements

  1. Candidates with Bachelor degree in Materials and Metallurgical Engineering at a minimum level of Second Class Lower Division from this or any other approved University are eligible for admission into the programme.
  2. For candidates with PGD, a minimum CGPA of 3.5 on a 5 point grade scale or equivalent from a recognized University is required.


Duration of the Programme

Full-time: A minimum of three (3) semesters and a maximum of six (6) semesters

Part-time: A minimum of four (4) semesters and a maximum of eight (8) semesters


Graduation Requirements

Upon successful completion, a candidate for this programme shall be awarded Masters of Engineering Degree in Metallurgical & Materials Engineering (Thematic area).

For the master’s programme course work, the minimum pass score is 50%, CA is not more than 40% of the course. A student who fails shall repeat the course. Two (2) seminars and Oral Defence shall be completed before graduation.
